A message from H.T. White, Past President, First Coast Chapter:

The First Coast Chapter of the Building Officials Association of Florida (BOAF) continues to thrive as an all-inclusive group of professionals dedicated to the betterment of the construction community. Over the last several years our membership has increased dramatically due to our desire to reach out to a variety of groups in an effort to help resolve and understand code related issues that affect our industry.

Although our association is identified as the “Building Officials Association” building officials are a very small percentage of the membership. We are comprised of an incredibly diverse group of professions. Active members include code professionals, architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers and the construction industry at large. The benefits associated with the First Coast Chapter are numerous and, frankly, difficult to measure. Many members have established successful working relationships and valuable contacts to help benefit their specific needs.

If you are not currently a member of the First Coast Chapter, I strongly encourage your involvement through membership in our organization.  A membership application can be found by clicking on the 2011 Membership Application tab under the blue Membership bar above.
